The Oklahoma-based brothers, Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson - who shot to fame with their debut single 'MMMbop' in 1997 - have been heavily influenced by music from the 70s and Taylor says it shows on their new album 'Shout It Out'.
He explained: "The last two records we were definitely leaning away from the old school R&B that we had been doing, we've been going a little bit more layered and textured, more pop rock and with this album we've tried to create it in a way that captures a certain energy that we love about albums from our past.
"We joke that we're a 70s rock band because we grew up in the Midwest with a little bit of roots music around us but also listening to 50s and 60s soul music and as a result this album is a mid 70s pop rock album made in 2011."
While Taylor - who will play a series of five shows in London in June called 'Five of Five' with Hanson - admits the siblings do have their fair share of rows, he says their "mutual respect and admiration" will keep the band together for a long time to come.
Asked if he gets sick of working with his brothers, Taylor told BANG Showbiz: "How many times a week, would be the answer to that. Of course we don't always get along. But the truth is we have a mutual respect and connection and sometimes it's actually the clash that makes great art. We have a positive message and story in that we don't get into fights in public and act like idiots but the difference is we don't air our dirty laundry in the middle of the street."

Bieber
Violence came to the pop world over the weekend in Australia when Justin Bieber was egged at his Sydney concert and Deadmau5 was punched at an after-party.
A not so happy fan at the Bieber show at Acer Arena took careful aim and pelted 6 eggs on stage at his concert, narrowly missing the teen singer on Friday night.
Deadmau5 was attending a Creamfields after-party in Brisbane on Saturday night when he copped a fist, allegedly from Brisbane DJ James Cameron. 'the openoing 'dj' at the club decided to have a go at me. So fuck him and fuck that club. I left,' Deadmau5 tweeted.
Apparently Deadmau5 didn't like Cameron's playlist. 'Thank god for creamfeilds tonight, coz the music at the afterrparty is fucking god awful,' he also wrote.

Rebecca black
Rebecca Black has warily advised aspiring YouTube stars to 'make good choices'.
Black appeared at MTV's O Awards, which are predominantly focussed on internet stars, both musical and otherwise.
MTV sat down with Black for a chat about the ludicrous successm, and attendant infamy, of her single 'Friday'.
The thirteen-year-old seemed to be as irritated as everyone else by her breakthrough single.
She said, "Every time someone says 'Friday,' it gets stuck in my head. It gets irritating. I mean, like, it's my song, and I like the song. But I hear 'Friday' all the time. Get out of my head!'
And she also dished out what sounded like a warning to fellow tweens who would like to follow in her footsteps and get a viral hit on YouTube.
"Don't expect that no one will see it,' she warned, 'What you put online is going to be there forever. So, uhh, make good choices."

beyonce and bruno mars
Beyonce and Bruno - the stars come out to play on a new Jay-Z and Kanye tune.
The long-anticipated Watch The Throne album, a landmark collaboration between Jay-Z and Kanye West, has been in the works for a little too long and the lead track 'H.A.M.' was fairly underwhelming.
But rumours abound that the first true single from the album will be called 'Lift Off' and will feature guest spots from Mrs. Jay-Z and hitmaker Bruno Mars.
It was produced by Jeff Bhasker, or as Bhasker himself tweeted 'Lift Off was produced by Kanye Bhasker and Jeffrey West'.
And the album is almost done, according to producer/engineer Young Guru who last week told Vibe 'Right now, I'm really trying to get Jay and Kanye to hurry up and finish this Watch The Throne album because the world needs to hear it. It just needs little tweaks and things like that. But the core of the album is finished.'
But another engineer Mike Dean said that it might need another mix. In a recent video interview with Pensado's Place two weeks ago, Dean said that they had somebody try to mix it but it didn't work out.
Watch The Throne's release date was originally set for late last year, then January, then March. We'll keep you in the loop.

Jurasic park 3
Dr. Alan Grant is now a happy man with the previous incidents of Jurassic Park now behind him. Grant is that happy that he announce in public, that nothing on Earth can persuade him back onto the islands. Maybe nothing, except Paul Kirby. Kirby and his wife, Amanda want a plane to fly them over Isla Sorna, with Dr. Grant as their guide. But not everything Kirby says is true. When the plane lands, Dr. Grant realizes that there is another reason why they are there, that he doesn't know of. Now, Dr. Grant is stuck on an island he has never been on before, with what was a plane journey now turned into a search party. Written by Film_Fan
Eight years after the InGen incident, Dr. Alan Grant is happy with his life far from any dinosaurs other than fossilized. Unfortunately, he is extremely short in research money, and therefore accepts the offer of wealthy businessman Paul Kirby: A low flight over isolated Isla Sorna, where InGen's second research site was located, and Dr. Grant can fund his future research for a long time. What Dr. Grant didn't know is that Kirby just needs a dinosaur expert to help him and his wife find their 14-year-old son Eric, who crashed on the island while paragliding. What he did suspect, but never wanted to witness, is that the Velociraptors have evolved into a communicating species (and seemingly all along had the capability to do so), now being smarter than primates. Written by Julian Reischl <julianreischl@mac.com>
Anxious to fund research for his new theory of velociraptor intelligence, renowned paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant is persuaded by wealthy adventurer Paul Kirby and his wife Amanda to accompany them on an aerial tour of Isla Sorna. This infamous island, once InGen's site B, has become both a primordial breeding ground for John Hammond's magnificent creations and a magnet for thrill-seekers eager to encounter them. When a tragic accident maroons the party of seven, Grant discovers the true reason his deceptive hosts have invited him along. In their perilous attempt to escape, the dwindling group encounters terrifying new creatures undisclosed by InGen, and Grant is forced to learn the dreadful implications of his raptor intelligence theory firsthand. Written by Sujit R. Varma
Adventure runs wild when renowned paleontologist DR. Alan Grant agrees to accompany a wealthy adventurer and his wife on an aerial tour of Isla Sorna, InGen's former breeding ground for prehistoric creatures. But when they're terrifyingly stranded, Dr. Grant discovers that his hosts are not what they seem, and the island's native inhabitants are smarter, faster, fiercer and more brutal than he ever imagined.
